How to Call Your Dog By Name!

Dogs speak dog, and until you speak dog fluently, you have to find the best way to communicate with all of them. Learn how to get your pet to reply to his/her name.

Dogs speak canine. English is a second vocabulary, but dog is their own first and fluent vocabulary, and unless you speak canine fluently, you need to a discover a way to communicate with them. Given that Rosetta Stone has not create a dog version yet, ECAD has found cues plus patterning to be the best type of communication.

Cues are hands signals, body positions, seems (whistles, snaps, claps, “kissy” noises, etc . ) which are basically hints for what you need the dog to accomplish.

Targeting is really a physical cue, while Instructions are verbal cues.

Patterning is doing something over and over till it becomes automatic through muscle mass memory. By patterning, we are able to eliminate targeting and depend solely on commands to obtain the dogs to respond to a preferred behavior.

The Dog’s Name


Whenever you say the dog’s name, you are telling the dog to pay for attention-a command is arriving. You are not telling the dog ahead to you, to sit, or perform any additional task besides to recognize that you have called their own name and they should concentrate their attention on you.

Training Method


Say your dog’s name, and as soon since the puppy looks at you, incentive them with a treat.
